Exhibit and Publications Designer, Director
Ink Shop Printmaking Center
Ithaca, New York
I received my bachelors's degree in photography and studied drawing and video at Cleveland Institute of Art in 1987. I worked as the assistant to the gallery designer at CIA and shared a photo studio in Cleveland's Little Italy. A good friend enticed me to move to Ithaca where the public TV studio had been upgraded and I could easily work on video editing. This is before the days of computer editing. I supported myself working for the main research library at Cornell and through the university continued studying photograpy and pursued a new medium, printmaking.
I joined the Ink Shop Printmaking Center, one of the only member based print studios in Upstate New York. For the past 15 years I have immersed myself at The Ink Shop as the exhibit and publications designer. I continue to work at the library and am currently Director of the Ink Shop.
I have mainly exhibited prints in Ithaca, but I have consistantly been shooting and editing my photos, and have recently returned to exhibiting them as well.
